Thinking of Others

Riley Norwood carried on her family’s Halloween tradition this year by holding a food drive. In past years her family hosted the Halloween Haunted Trail and would make donations to local non-profits. This year, unfortunately, the Norwood family was unable to host the haunted trail, but Riley really wanted to do something to help out her community.

Riley decided to collect non-perishable food items for the East Haven Food Pantry. On Saturday morning the Norwood family unloaded their vehicle with more than 200 pounds of food. To say the pantry volunteers were overwhelmed would be an understatement. The food Riley collected will help so many families within the East Haven community, especially with the holidays quickly approaching.

We thank Riley so much for her support and for thinking of others in her community. We really appreciate all her hard work and for continuing her family’s tradition.
