Energy and Integrity

The 33rd District would be well served if State Senator Art Linares, Jr. (R) is re-elected for another term. He has consistently stood up for seniors, small businesses, and taxpayers throughout his 12 towns.

He was a strong voice against Governor Dannel Malloy’s tax increases from 2015 and understands that Connecticut doesn’t have a revenue problem, we have a spending problem.

Art has consistently fought to make Connecticut more affordable to young people and young families. To me, that’s important. I want a Connecticut where my grandchildren can afford to buy a home, start a family, and live the American Dream. Currently, many young people are fleeing to other states where it’s either less expensive, more business friendly, or where the job prospects are better. He’s not living in the past, but rather focused on the future.

The economy isn’t Art’s only strong point, he also has high marks from environmental groups and children’s groups. He has been named a “Children’s Champion” and was honored by the Friends of Westbrook Barrier Islands. He understand the entire district and we need someone who can do it from day one. Next session will be difficult due to the fiscal outlook and we need someone with the energy and integrity to fight for us.

It makes me more comfortable knowing Art will always stand up for what’s right, won’t be blinded by a political party machine, and won’t sit idly by with his leadership directing his vote. A vote for Art is a vote for a better future, not more of the same Malloy madness. I encourage your readers to join me in supporting him on Nov. 8.
