Effectiveness in Hartford

I write in support of the re-election of our state senator, Ted Kennedy, Jr (D-12).

Branford’s most precious asset, aside from our hard-working people, is our shoreline on Long Island Sound. Senator Kennedy, as an environmentalist and graduate of Yale School of Forestry, understands our complex relationship with the Sound. As our state senator, he understands how valuable our proximity to the Sound is to our economic health. As the Senate chair of the Environment Committee, Senator Kennedy is in a position to both protect the Sound as an environmental asset and to exploit and leverage it as a driver of economic benefit for all. His ability to work across the aisle to garner unanimous or near-unanimous support for environmental bills is testament to his effectiveness in Hartford.

Senator Kennedy is ably supported in his efforts by his colleague in the House of Representatives, Sean Scanlon. We are fortunate to be represented by these dedicated, hard-working, and very able public servants.
