Final Week to Register to Vote

With this upcoming very important election, our Registrars’ Office is in the final week of being able to accept new voter registrations. The deadline is Tuesday, Nov. 1. There are many ways to register other than in person: there is online voter registration (24/7) until midnight on Nov. 1, accessible through the Secretary of the State website (www.voterregistration.ct.gov), as well as in libraries, at Department of Motor Vehicle, and in the Town Clerk’s office. Registrars will be in their office 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Mail in registrations must be post marked no later than midnight Nov. 1.

With large anticipated crowds, citizens not registered are encouraged to do so. If you are not sure if you are registered, check at www.sots.ct.gov. For those who need absentee ballots, they are available in the Town Clerk’s office. On Nov. 8, polling locations will be open 6 a.m. until 8 p.m. We want election day to be as efficient as possible.
