The Leadership Ability

As the predecessor in the State Senate to Senator Ted Kennedy, Jr. (D-12), I have closely watched his performance both in Hartford and in the district and have been extremely impressed. Because of his business background, he brings to our state legislature an important perspective. He well reflected that perspective when, confronted by Connecticut’s economic and job challenges, he initiated a remarkable Economic Summit earlier this year. That summit, which was held at the Stony Creek Brewery, brought together a combination of business and public leaders who articulated not only the economic problems we are facing, but also some creative solutions. From my personal observation, Ted has the leadership ability to bring about economic recovery in our state.

I encourage your readers to join with so many Democrats, Republicans, and independents in voting on Nov. 8 to give Ted Kennedy a second term. Both his performance and his promise deserve that vote of confidence.
