Taking Constructive Steps

State Senator Ted Kennedy, Jr. (D-12) has represented our district with energy and intelligence. From the start, he was clearly committed to improving life in our towns and in our state. But as I have seen him in action over the last two years, I have come to truly appreciate how insightful he is. He listens carefully to constituents and town leaders, he considers the most effective way to achieve progress, and he works respectfully and enthusiastically across party lines to pursue that way.

Ted has spent many, many hours in the six towns of his district, and he knows in detail the specific problem areas we face—from brownfield sites to emergency response systems. He is able to find intelligent ways to address the issues, working effectively within the state government on behalf of 12th District residents and businesses.

One quality of Ted’s makes him particularly valuable as our senator: his optimism about our state and our region. We are all familiar with the roadblocks to economic development in Connecticut. Ted sees the great assets of our state as well and is taking constructive steps to build on those assets.

We need Ted Kennedy, Jr.’s strong representation in Hartford. I encourage your readers to come out and vote for him on Nov. 8.
