Makes it Happen

Let’s look at State Senator Ted Kennedy, Jr. (D-12)’s record for financial support of Madison. A grant for $400,000 from Connecticut’s Responsible Growth and Transit-Oriented Development Grant Program will bring much needed renovation to Tuxis walkway. Another $500,000 has been secured through a STEAP grant towards the completion of the Strong Center Project at the Surf Club.

A total of $2 million is coming from the state for the Scranton Library Building Futures Project. This project will renovate and expand our library, building a strong future for our community while respecting its past.

In this age of hyper partisanship, it is refreshing to see Ted work with State Representative Noreen Kokoruda (R-101) across the aisle to enhance our community. Candidates often tell you that they will work with members of the opposing party, but Ted makes it happen. Ted has secured state funding that will allow Madison to move forward in many of our ongoing capital projects.

Time and again Ted has shown that he will put the interests of the people of Madison ahead party lines. That is why I support Ted Kennedy, Jr., and why I will be voting for him in November.
