Has Been a Champion

As a financial planner, I know the importance of responsible economic policy. On that front, our state representative, James Albis (D-99), has more than earned another two-year term. He has been a champion for East Haven residents by consistently putting our interests first.

The state aid that Rep. Albis has secured for East Haven helps to keep our mill rate from rising substantially. There is nearly an 11-point difference between the mill rate in Fiscal Year 2015 and what it would have been without state aid. That makes a big difference for our property taxpayers.

Rep. Albis has also proposed tax reforms that would lower the burden on East Haven residents. He is championing a bold plan to stop taxing the social security benefits that so many of our seniors depend on to get through each month.

I am casting my vote on Nov. 8 for James Albis because I’m a fiscal conservative. I know that when presented with a choice, James will always make the decision that is best for his constituents. It is important now that we fight for James as hard as he fights for us every day.
