Chart a New Course

I write in support of State Senator Art Linares, Jr. (R-36) and State Representative Jesse MacLachlan (R-35). These two candidates have advocated for a more efficient government and understand the importance of maintaining our small town values. Both individuals, as Republicans, have a strong message to the voters: We must control the excessive spending and tax burdens that have been imposed on us by the current Democratic administration and ensure that Connecticut, once again, will be an affordable state for our families to sustain their livelihoods. We can no longer tolerate the exodus of families to other states for employment including major business such as GE. They have advocated for more affordable housing and have a five year financial plan to balance the state’s budget.

Art and Jesse need to be re-elected since they understand our compelling issues and respond in a timely manner to constituent requests. They have learned to successfully navigate the political arena in Hartford and have dedicated themselves to their responsibilities. Furthermore, their experience as seasoned legislators benefits the towns they represent and both serve on key legislative committees including Transportation, Energy, and Education.

I encourage your readers to vote for these candidates. Connecticut needs to chart a new course by balancing our state budget and creating new jobs for renewed confidence in our economy.
