As the chairman of the North Branford Democratic Town Committee, I would like to support the re-election of Ted Kennedy, Jr. (D-12) as our state senator in Hartford. Ted has consistently shown his support of our community in a number of areas; he attends many of our community events, has conducted numerous town hall forums in our local libraries for residents and business owners to share their ideas and concerns, he has been integral in supporting economic development throughout the shoreline region, and has worked closely with the Shoreline Chamber in order to help business growth and networking.
Mr. Kennedy has made a tremendous effort to reach out to the North Branford business community and understands the vital role that the Route 80 corridor plays in the development of our municipality. Ted has also been very active in getting funding for recreational projects in our town.
As a member of our Public Safety Committee, and the Police Commission in North Branford and at the state level, I have spoken to Ted about issues and concerns that arise with regard to public safety. He has been very attentive and active in seeking funding for resources needed to ensure the protection of our community. I believe he has shown his dedication to North Branford in many ways and I believe should represent us in Hartford.
