Better for Connecticut

As a person with multiple sclerosis, I feel very fortunate to have Ted Kennedy, Jr. (D-12) represent me in the Connecticut State Senate. Senator Kennedy is a terrific advocate for persons with disabilities, promoting their rights in the areas of employment, home life, and general quality of life.

I was particularly glad to see that Senator Kennedy helped enact reforms that allow people with disabilities (and seniors) to access in-home care as opposed to going into a nursing home. This not only is better for the person; it is better for Connecticut since it is less costly for the state. Fortunately, I do not need to avail myself of these services, but there are many others who do, and I feel that this is so important to their quality of life and mental wellbeing.

I know Senator Kennedy will continue to advocate for the rights and opportunities for the people with disabilities and debunk the myths about the disabled, as he has always done, so that they can enjoy productive and happy lives. I encourage your readers to join me in voting for Ted Kennedy, Jr., for state senator in November.
