A Marvelous Concert

Those violin aficionados and Hispanic music lovers who couldn’t attend missed a marvelous concert last Thursday night at the Hagaman Memorial Library. Dr. David Podles performed music from Latin America, South America, and the Caribbean as well as the Spanish music that inspired it with such passion and dexterity. A bonus, to me, were the many works by composers from other lands who included Spanish music in their works, such as Bizet and Tchaikovsky. Thanks go to the Friends of the Library and devoted local businesswoman Teresa Sirico, Realtor, for their support of the program, and to Cynthia Gwiazda of the library for planning it! I look forward to more concerts at our library.
