Mum’s the Word

Thanks to many willing workers, providers, and shoppers, the Westbrook Garden Club’s Sept. 10 Mum Market was a great success! Huge, healthy Van Wilgens chrysanthemums in an array of fall colors set the stage for our members’ handcrafted wreaths, fresh flower arrangements, and carefully selected white elephant items for home and garden.

Thanks go to the many generous merchants who contributed to our raffle basket: Turtle Café, Lenny & Joe’s Fish Tale, Daily Grind, Water’s Edge, Cindy’s Wine and Spirits, Café Routier, Papercraft Clubhouse, Shoreline Framing, Cristy’s, and Lou’s Westbrook Package.

Special thanks go to our energetic Mum Market chairperson, Cathy Curt, who organized and directed it all. The club’s Mum Market supports our college scholarship, public education, and town beautification efforts and gives us all a chance to spend a little end-of-summer time on the Green with neighbors and friends.
