Involved with the Issues

State Representative Dave Yaccarino (R-87) has been very conscientious in representing his constituents over a wide spectrum of topics. He meets regularly with the people of his district to discuss their issues, concerns, and needs.

As a member of the Veterans Affair’s Committee in the Connecticut Legislature, Dave has worked tirelessly to protect the rights of Connecticut veterans and to deal with the concerns they voice. He regularly meets with members of American Legion Post #76 at their Post meetings. Additionally, he makes himself available to meet with veterans in their unique community settings to better understand their issues.

To help communicate more fully with his constituents, Dave writes a weekly column in a local newspaper to share his accomplishments and views on a variety of topics. He knows it is important to educate the public on the issues that will have an impact on their lives. Dave is there to hear the issues presented by his constituents and always goes the extra mile to solve their problems.

Dave is involved with the issues that impact women such as health care, equal pay, and women’s rights. He recently supported legislation that increased Connecticut women’s access to 3-D breast cancer imaging.

Dave’s support for policemen, fireman, emergency service personnel, and senior citizens is well known. He supports property tax relief for seniors and legislation to prevent abuse and neglect of seniors in medical facilities.

Dave supports legislative reform to make the state more budget conscious and fiscally responsible.
