Easy and Very Beneficial

Driving through the streets of East Haven, I am always so pleased with all the residents who participate in the weekly recycling program. These residents demonstrate their understanding and caring for the need to recycle our trash.

Unfortunately we still have some residents who do not participate in recycling. Some are not convinced recycling will help lessen our dependence on landfills. Reminders on our local origination stations and some notices sent out with tax forms might increase the participation of these residents in the town recycling program.

I encourage those residents who could do more to recycle to please try—it’s easy and very beneficial for all of us.
