Goes the Extra Mile

Having lived in North Haven for 13 years, I have never felt more supported by a government official than I have by State Representative Dave Yaccarino (R-87). I could recount many examples of his outstanding service, but will choose just the ones from this past year.

As a divorced mom, I was faced with many challenges, raising two young children, undergoing financial difficulties, and having to sell my family home. One of those challenges required me to find affordable housing within my children’s current school district to help maintain stability in their young lives. Due to a miscommunication with the Board of Education, I turned to Dave to solve a huge misunderstanding that would have jeopardized my new housing situation and its associated school district. After numerous emails and phone calls between Dave, the Board of Education, and the North Haven superintendent of schools, the issue was successfully resolved.

Dave was also instrumental in quelling my fears at tax time. After struggling to find answers to my questions regarding debt forgiveness from the short sale of my home, Dave immediately put me in contact with a financial expert who led me through the process.

Representative Dave Yaccarino truly goes the extra mile when serving his constituents.
