No Clear Answer

I would like to know what State Senator Art Linares, Jr. (R-33), State Representative Jesse MacLachlan (R-35), and the candidates running against them are doing or will do to ensure that Clinton gets the train station expansion it has been waiting so long for. Clinton is still the only town on the shoreline waiting to have its train station expanded, yet nobody at the Connecticut Department of Transportation or any other state agency has been able to give any clear answer as to when the work will begin.

My understanding is that the design work for the additional platform and walkway connector has been completed and that funding has been secured. An extra platform will allow the train to stop in our town approximately 14 more times per day, thus making it much more convenient and flexible for commuters. I look forward to hearing their plans to make this happen for our town.
