A Perfect Summer Day

The Ivoryton Village Independence Day Parade was held on July 2, a perfect summer day! It honored John Senn as grand marshal. I would like to thank the following parade committee members for a superb job in organizing the parade: Maryellen Barnes, Chris Shane, Stacia Libby, Elizabeth Alvord, Elizabeth Bartlett, Loretta McCluskey, Katie Wright, Donnalee Gennaro, Lorraine Donovan, and Trooper David Tretter.

I would also like to thank the Ivoryton Alliance, Essex Park & Rec, Essex Police Department, New Horizons Bank, Essex Weeders, Dave Sousa and the Farmers Market, Samantha Barlow, Norm Rutty, Norm Needleman and Phil Miller, the Color Guard, two bag pipers, the miniature horses and a pot belly pig, antiques cars and tractors, marchers and kids on decorated bikes and the Ambulance and Fire Department vehicles.
