A Grand Old Tree

I wish to thank Town Engineer Mike Ott and the landscape architects who have planned the installation for trees in downtown Madison. I rejoiced when I saw how the old sycamore tree was dressed. I have long been fond of it and had noticed its decline in recent years. I suspected that it did not receive adequate water.

When I saw the new cutout for it, I was so happy that an exception in the curb line was made for it showing kindness and respect for the grand old tree. I note that it is doing better this summer as there is new, vigorous growth on the lower branches. Thanks go to those involved in the planning and decision.
