Good Deed and Honesty

I wanted to take a moment to recognize Vin Rispoli, night supervisor at Branford High School, for his good deed and honesty.

Following an American Legion Baseball game at our high school field, I left my team bag in the dugout. It’s normally not a big deal to leave something behind, but this bag had a lot of umpire fee money and the team checkbook. The next day, we were heading to East Haven for a game and I realized what had happened. I called Facilities Director Joe Carbone, and within 10 minutes he called back to let me know Vin Rispoli had found the bag. It gets better, because Vin drove the bag to East Haven High School to personally deliver the bag to me on his own time.

I loved watching Vinnie play as a young man and I can’t thank him enough for his kindness.
