The Issue is the Process

It is clear that the Cosgrove administration is not going to be ethical in its selection of commission, committee, or town employees based on the travesty we just witnessed with the Inland Wetland Commission (IWC). Individuals with experience and experience were replaced by individuals clearly lacking that and/or having conflicts of interest.

If, as First Selectman Jamie Cosgrove said, “Change is good,” then why did he run for re-election? It is obvious that the character attacks by his blogger ally were a setup to discredit the dedicated individuals on the IWC. The issue is not whether or not Costco should come to town; the issue is the process and this has been corrupted. I would hope that all Branford voters’ eyes opened to these recent underhanded tactics in our next election cycle.
