Continued Professional Growth

I would like to commend the Town of East Haven for appointing Ed Lennon and James Naccarato to the rank of chief of police and deputy chief of police, respectively. These promotions at this time provide a seamless transition in critical management within the Police Department.

My observations of Chief Lennon have always been positive, and it is clear to anyone that his promotion to chief of the department is well deserved, and bodes well for the town and Police Department.

I can personally attest to the professionalism and dedication of Deputy Chief Naccarato. Jim and I worked together at the New Haven Police Department for more than 20 years. Not only is Jim recognized for his ethics, but the significant role he played in helping to develop community policing in New Haven. Jim exhibits collaborative expertise in community issues, effective problem solving, and understanding of the human dynamics of the community.

My congratulations go to both men on their promotions, and I look forward to continued professional growth of the department under their leadership.
