A Voice to Make a Change

I wish to draw your attention to the grave danger of our beloved school Saint Vincent DePaul’s closing. As a parent and a taxpayer, I am very upset that not only is this taking a parish away from the community, it also is taking it away from our parents, teachers, and most of all what keeps this school going, our children.

I am a parent of a child who currently is enrolled in the kindergarten program and this school means the world to my daughter. I’ve come to love not only the teachers, but the amazing community that has been there for my daughter. It’s very disheartening to hear my daughter ask me every night, “Mommy, can you save my school?” and I can’t help but tell her, “Mommy will do everything she can to try and save your school.”

The town has a great community along with its parish and this school is loved by many and especially all the children. I want to be that voice that will make that change and I hope by writing to you I can be that voice for my daughter and all the parents. I may be only one person, but I will do anything I can to keep my daughter’s school open so she can continue her education where she is happy and content and, most of all, safe. We are a community and we shall stand together as one. Let’s not go unheard—let’s take a stand!
