This, Too, Shall Pass

Whew! After months of our moaning, groaning, complaining, and being inconvenienced, Chester’s upper Main Street is finally done, and we can all breathe a sigh of relief.

For all the mess during construction, we now have a fine new road (with no unnecessary second sidewalk).

I walk that route each day and I recently watched the worker on the roller meticulously edging the asphalt against the curbing. I don’t believe that any residents are less than 100 percent satisfied with the final edging of their driveways. Good job, everyone!

Now we get ready to start moaning, groaning, and complaining again as we go through this in Chester Center. Hang in there, residents and merchants. Someday in the future this, too, shall pass and we will once again breathe that heavy sigh of relief.
