North Haven Students Make a Difference

We would like to acknowledge and appreciate the efforts of more than 100 students, teachers, parents, and business professionals who volunteered their time on National Make a Difference Day to give back to our community.

Some folks grabbed a rake, hedge clipper, or shovel to help with spruce up projects at Green Acres, Ridge Road, and the Middle School; while others donated their talents to making dozens of friendship bracelets, fleece blankets, and get well cards for the pediatric patients at Yale New Haven Hospital. It was very heartwarming to see students of all ages diligently working side by side with the high school and some middle school students returning to their old elementary school for a bit of nostalgia.

We would also like to thank our generous business sponsors for both their financial support and in-kind donations that made this fulfilling day of service possible. This town-wide event was coordinated by the North Haven PTA Council with net proceeds benefiting PTA Enrichment Programs and the High School Scholarship Fund.
