A Tip of the Hat

I feel compelled to offer my thanks and gratitude to the gracious, thoughtful, and meaningful gesture made toward the citizens of Branford this past Sunday, Nov. 15. The Stony Creek Brewery and its owners, Mr. Ed Crowley and family, opened their doors to the families and descendants of our town’s producers of successful industrial products that lead to prosperity, wealth, and the current economic optimism.

Branford has been fortunate to have many successful businesses; the Malleable Iron Fittings was one, and now the Stony Creek Brewery is another, at another time, but same place. Mr. Crowley and family realized that and paid their respects to their predecessors from a differ era, a tip of the hat to the trailblazers of the past. I thank him so much for recognizing what came before and a wish for his continued success. It meant a great deal to so many.
