Individuals Who Listen

On Sunday, the last day of the 2015 Chester Fair, I had the opportunity to sit with the Chester Democratic candidates for selectmen, Lauren Gister and Charlene Janecek. I had met with Lauren and Charlene previously during formal meetings of the Chester Democratic Town Committee. In those sessions, I was always impressed with their background knowledge of the election process and the workings of town and state governments.

During the two hours that I sat with them under the canopy of the Democratic Town Committee’s booth greeting fair goers, I had the opportunity to connect with Lauren and Charlene as individuals. I found both Lauren and Charlene to be intelligent, experienced women with extensive backgrounds that served not only the Town of Chester, but also our society as a whole. Lauren and Charlene are individuals who listen. They listen to the concerns of all, keeping taxes under control, encouraging economic growth, and safeguarding the charming character of Chester.

I walked out of the Chester Fair that Sunday feeling secure in the belief that Lauren Gister and Charlene Janecek will work tirelessly for the people of Chester. Chester deserves no less.
