Invariably Respectful and Supportive

We write in support of Cathy Iino for first selectman in Killingworth. We have lived in Killingworth since 1976 and never have we seen so much civic participation in the life of our town. We credit this mainly to the leadership of Ms. Iino during her past two terms in office. She works harder than any previous first selectman we have known, attending discretionary meetings most nights of the week in addition to her normal business hours in the town office building.

Equally important is her manner, which is invariably respectful and supportive. From the solar power initiative that saved thousands of dollars for the many who participated (including us), to the flourishing of Parmelee Farm, to the great expansion of recreational areas, our town has been greatly enriched on her watch—and taxes have stayed very level and are low for the State of Connecticut.

We urge your readers to vote to reelect Cathy Iino on Nov. 3.
