A Happy Accident

Essex Park and Recreation Summer Camp is a wonderful resource for our kids in the summer. Having camp held at Essex Town Hall this summer has made it even better.

This location gave the camps access to a lot of opportunities they don’t have at the elementary school site: the Essex Library and grounds (fairy gardens were a big hit), shady Grove Street Park and the beautiful new playground, Hubbard Field, and the Town Hall auditorium and kitchens for arts, crafts and experiments.

It was a happy accident that moved the camps this year; I hope the town government realizes the benefit in using the Town Hall facility for this purpose and will keep Essex Park and Rec Summer Camp there in the future!
