More Than Our Share

Those of us who own condominiums in North Haven do not receive the town services of bulk pickup, leaf removal, and in my case snow removal. I live on a state road, which is plowed by the state and not the town.

In the April 16 article “4.3% Budget Increase Proposed for North Haven,” First Selectman Michael Freda states that part of the reason North Haven’s taxes will increase is due to the special services provided by the town. Condominium owners do not get those services. We have our own monthly condo fees. Therefore, we are paying taxes for services we do not receive.

All condo owners need to make this point to our first selectman. Our taxes should be lowered!
