I have always known that we have a wonderful parish family in East Haven at St. Vincent de Paul Church. That point was driven home again during the past few weeks that preceded the Easter Holiday. There was an ask to contribute either food items, monetary gifts and/or gift cards, so that families in need would have no worries about Easter dinner and Easter baskets for their children.

In just three weeks, an overwhelming response through donations was received. St. Vincent’s was able to donate boxes of food along with gift cards to various local grocery stores and an Easter basket for each child of 24 local families.

Thanks go to all those who contributed and to those who helped fill the boxes and distribute them.
