Hope We Get a Choice

The Planning & Zoning Commission again disapproved my subdivision application that would have supplied a fire protection water source for a restricted area along Cedar Lake Road, along with failing to grant two insignificant, discretional waivers on a prior existing vacant lot. This has been an ongoing battle with Zoning Enforcement Officer Cathie Jefferson, who returned to the position in 2006.

The motion to deny my application was made by Bruce Edgerton, whose own property contains violations of the regulations, specifically a commercial train on residential property apparently not in harmony with Deep River's Plan of Conservation and Development. Looking for a free ride? Join the Planning & Zoning Commission.

Let's remove the present zoning enforcement official and get an honest group! I hope we get a choice next election to remove the first selectman and his group of yes-men selectmen. Natural gas lines, firehouses, sewers-where's it going to end? It's forcing residents to leave town.
