Meet the Commissioner

The Killingworth Republican Town Committee is proud to announce the swearing in of Todd Hajek as Killingworth's new fire commissioner. He replaces former fire commissioner Mike Butler, who had recently resigned to join his family out of state.

Hajek, a lifelong Killingworth resident, has been a 34-year member of the Killingworth Volunteer Fire Company and has previously served as fire chief. Todd was nominated and unanimously approved by the Killingworth Republican Town Committee during its November meeting as a replacement for Mr. Butler and his appointment was approved by the Board of Selectmen during its January session.

As fire commissioner, Mr. Hajek's duties will include ensuring the Killingworth Volunteer Fire Department receives the critical resources it requires to maintain its high quality of protection of the town against fire. He will also be a member of a three-member advisory board to the Fire Company.

A graduate of Vinal Tech, he and Lara Catalano Hajek, his wife of 15 years, have two children.

We welcome Todd Hajek as Killingworth's new fire commissioner and we wish him great success in helping keep Killingworth safe.
