New Voice, New Ideas

During the last four years, we've seen poll after poll reveal that people are leaving Connecticut in unprecedented numbers. Not just people-business, jobs, opportunities. Most of all, our young professionals. We raise them in lovely towns, put them through college, and watch them reluctantly leave us for states that offer employment, home and energy costs they can afford, and a business environment in which they can use their talents to chase their dreams.

While some have left, one young professional, Jesse MacLachlan, has stayed, working to build his family business and use his skills where we need them: locally. He has spent the last year knocking on doors, speaking at community events, and presenting a fresh, new perspective-a smart, business-savvy model of what a state representative should do. He has a vision of communities our children can afford to return to, a business climate that encourages growth and reinvestment, a state government that works together in support of a common goal.

I'm tired of hearing Hartford present the same tired debate, year after year. A new voice, new ideas, and (please!) youth at our capitol will benefit every town. I encourage your readers to vote for Jesse MacLachlan for state representative.
