Responsible, Qualified, and Experienced

This Nov. 4 election will have people studying the candidates, asking who is best for Connecticut's future. Certainly that's true in the 36th House district of Chester, Deep River, Essex, and Haddam.

The Democrat seeking re-election to the 36th House seat is State Rep. Phil Miller. Phil Miller has a long history of involvement and activism on behalf of the Lower Connecticut River Valley and its residents. Phil Miller's deep and broad experience includes four terms as Essex first selectman.

Phil Miller also is not a go-along, get-along politician. Phil Miller proved his leadership and willingness to do what he believed right on a number of occasions, including the hard-fought effort to defeat the Haddam land swap.

Phil Miller is experienced, qualified, and has many accomplishments to his credit. My advice to voters is to look very carefully at candidates for substantive reasons to vote for them. The 36th House District needs a responsible, qualified, and experienced representative. That representative is Phil Miller.
