A Compassionate Manner

I am writing to warmly endorse the re-election of Probate Court Judge Terence D. Lomme. I have become acquainted with Judge Lomme over the past several years as a succession of family matters have taken me to his court.

The sorts of issues that result in us going to the probate court are often not just legally, but personally challenging ones. Simply applying the law in complicated family matters is often not enough. Judge Lomme appreciates that those who come to his court are real people, his fellow citizens in the district, who are often enmeshed in difficult circumstances. This appreciation permeates the whole court from the top down, making it a friendly, supportive place.

You can't get the ability to deal with people in a compassionate manner out of a law book; you either have it or you don't, and Judge Lomme has it, in abundance. For this reason, I strongly recommend a vote for Judge Lomme on Nov. 4.
