Speaking for the Squirrels

As this year's spokesman and Grand High Admiral for the East Liberty Street Chapter, Chester Squirrelatarians, let me be the first to thank Peter Good (Nov. 27 story "A Way with Squirrels" by Rita Christopher) for his contribution to our elevated status in Chester and environs. For so clearly endearing himself to the squirrel population through his iconic depiction, we give him our continued admiration and encouragement and bequeath him our honorary Sciurus Carolinensis (Common Gray Eastern Tree Squirrel) Scamperer/Gatherer of the Year award. May his design reign supreme in the annals of rodent arts and letters.
