Shoreline Goes Pink

A Style Above Designs recently participated in the GO PINK Project. The GO PINK Project is an event to increase awareness of breast cancer. We provided a pink hair extension or dyed a pink streak during the month of October, and 100 percent of the proceeds were given to the Middlesex Hospital Comprehensive Breast Center.

We would like to thank all who participated in our event. Our salon, along with other area salons and businesses, raised more than $25,000 be donated to this cause.

Thanks go to the Westbrook High School and Valley Regional High School students who participated to increase awareness among their peers. Thanks also go to the area sports teams that participated: the Westbrook High School girls field hockey team, Westbrook High School girls soccer team, Valley Regional High School girls soccer team, and Valley Regional High School girls field hockey team. We would also like to thank the Valley Regional High School Boys Soccer team for making a donation from the entire team. A special thank you goes to the loom bracelet makers who donated their sale proceeds to us!

We would also like to thank our local businesses who donated great raffle prizes to support us. A big thanks goes to Mascello Beauty Supply, Como Prof Beauty Supply, The Red Pepper, River Tavern, CABO, Celebrations, Six Main, Deep River Pizza, Ceramica, The Brush Mill, Simons, Haley Joe's Café, Chaos, DaVinci Pizza, Wheatmarket, and Adams Food Stores.

We look forward to participating in this event next year. Together we can increase awareness and fight this disease together!
