Allow me to extend my thanks to the local community for supporting the recent Veterans' Day fundraiser at Restaurant L&E. I've worked as a volunteer with veterans for 25 years and have occasionally been disappointed with the lukewarm response to the needs of our veterans. When Linda and Everett Reid generously opened their restaurant to a fundraiser for the Homeless Veterans Project of South Park Inn, the response was incredibly positive.

As the bartender, I spoke with many people who expressed concern and acted with generosity in support of area veterans who need our help. And as several customers said, they were able to enjoy a fabulous meal in the process! To all those who expressed their support, and on behalf of the many veterans aided, please accept my deep appreciation and gratitude.
