Well Depicted

The horrors of living in the Netherlands occupied by the Nazis during World War II are well depicted by writer Meredith Crawford in the Sept. 19 story "The World War II Story You May Have Never Heard."

If after reading the article any readers are still in denial, I urge them to view the 1959 film The Diary of Anne Frank directed by George Stevens. Based on the actual diary of 13 year-old Anne Frank, who was killed in a death camp during the last days of the war, the document recounts the five frightening years hiding from the Nazis before being discovered.
