Pro-Growth, Pro-Small Business

As someone who often frequents small, locally owned shops and businesses, I was pleased to hear that Cindy Cartier was endorsed by the National Federation of Independent Businesses. This endorsement shows that many small business owners recognize that Cindy's experience as a small-business owner and the pro-growth solutions her campaign has offered truly enhance the many reasons why we need to elect her to bring a change in leadership to Hartford.

As a community and state, we need to do more to support our local businesses. They are the true backbone of any economic recovery we hope to have. I have been disheartened to hear that Cindy's opponent, Ed Meyer, has taken very anti-business stances during his tenure in Hartford, voting 95 percent of the time with his tax-and-spend colleagues, all the while talking the election year game of being pro small business and economic development to try to persuade voters to elect him yet again. This year is most crucial, with more than nine percent unemployment, and many businesses struggling, we need to change course and elect someone who is in touch with the business community.

Haven't we had enough of career politicians like Ed Meyer who say one thing at election time, and then do the exact opposite once they are re-elected? Our families are hurting, and many small businesses are struggling. Let's elect a new pro-growth, pro-small business senator to Hartford and get Connecticut's economy on the road to recovery.

I encourage your readers to vote for Cindy Cartier on Nov. 6!
