Really Cares About the Town

I am writing to say how offended and disgusted I am by the red and white signs that have cropped up all around town, implying that our first selectman is dishonest. Citizens of Branford have benefitted greatly from the DaRos/Walsh administration over the years of their tenure. A triple A bond rating, with the comments "good financial management practices and policies" and "low debt burden"-hardly the mark of a dishonest administration.

Expanded train station parking, renegotiation of the quarry lease, reduced billing costs for our ambulance service, improvements in the building permit process, collaborative establishment of the Volunteer Services Center, innovative solution of the Atlantic Wire complex problem, funding for the upgrading of the Amtrak bridge and the widening of West Main Street-these are rather the marks of an administration that really cares about the town and about the welfare of its residents.

Unk DaRos and his team have been visionary, engaging in strategic planning to ensure that the town's infrastructure is maintained and improved.

Unk DaRos and his team have been committed to transparency, improving all communications systems with Branford citizens, from the kiosk at Town Hall to the town website to the reverse 911 system. The latter was particularly useful during Tropical Storm Irene, generating a number of grateful comments from affected residents.

Unk DaRos and his team have been efficient on our behalf, lowering the costs of running the town in a number of areas, thus keeping our taxes down.

This has been the best administration I have seen during the 17 years that I have lived here full time. I admire it, I trust it, and I urge Branford voters to keep it going by supporting the DaRos/Campbell ticket in November.
