Getting the Job Done

This year has presented the Town of Branford with many challenges, both natural and man-made. Unk DaRos has met those challenges head on and helped guide our town safely through.

Under the direction of the new Public Works director hired by DaRos, the mountains of snow were moved and our streets kept clear. Again when Irene slammed our neighborhoods, DaRos with our town staff worked tirelessly to have roads reopened, sand moved, and generators working while pressing to get power on to our elderly centers and critical care facilities.

On the man-made side, the new firehouse is under construction on time and within budget. Moreover, planning is well underway for a public works facility. As new education contracts come up this year, DaRos has already started working with the superintendent to reduce spending and control future costs. As the federal and state governments grapple with deficits and a stagnant economy, Branford retains its top fiscal rating and remains financially sound through the consistent policies of DaRos and the Board of Finance.

DaRos works hard for our town every day, all year long, getting the job done and that's what we need to carry us through these difficult times.
