Every Contribution Can Make an Impact

This is the time of year when we get into the spirit of giving and consider donating money and time to our favorite charity. As the economy continues to struggle, demand for social services from the non-profit community has increased.

The Estuary Council of Seniors is a nine-town regional senior center providing vital services and programs to people aged 50 and over. Like so many other non-profits, at the same time our funding is decreasing, the requests for our services like Meals on Wheels and medical transportation are going up.

Regardless of your holiday and year-end charity of choice, we encourage everyone to remember the needs of our neighbors. Every contribution, no matter how large or small, can make a big impact on someone's life this year. And I encourage your readers to remember that local non-profit organizations welcome volunteers and donations year-round in order to help others.
