Looking Forward to the Challenges Ahead

I wish to thank all of your readers who voted for me for their confidence in my ability to operate the new nine-town 33rd District Probate Court. I would also like to thank my opponent, Attorney Anselmo Delia, who ran an excellent campaign and was a gentleman throughout the race. It was refreshing to be involved in an election that did not have any negativity or personal attacks. I could not have done this alone and also wish to thank all those who helped me with my campaign.

I am very much looking forward to the opportunity to work with the clerks from the existing courts within the district. I am confident that the new court will operate efficiently and smoothly and will make myself available to address any questions or concerns that arise during the transition. The new court will be located in the Old Saybrook Town Hall on Main Street. It will be a full-time court and will be open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. I will commence my position on Jan. 5, 2011.

It was a long and rigorous campaign and to those whose confidence I have not yet won, I will strive to do so. Once again, I thank your readers for this opportunity and I look forward to the challenges ahead and to serving the new district.
