Explaining an August Arrest

I was arrested in Chester on Aug. 27 for disorderly conduct. A school bus driver, I was arrested because most of the kids had lied [about what was said to students]. Some of the things I did say I said because the kids wanted to know how they would get hurt if they didn't sit down.

I want all of your readers to know that I would not do anything to hurt the kids and as a manner of fact if one is coming from the ferry going in to Chester center, just before East Liberty Street there is a sign that I paid for out of my own money that I put up in February-that sign reads "Slow Down School Bus Crossing Ahead." I put this sign up because it is a bad intersection and I almost got hit three times pulling out to Route 148.

I still like all the kids that were on my bus and I do miss the kids from the bus route.

Do parents know that, if a bus driver gets pulled over by the state or DMV police for kids standing up on the bus, the driver gets a ticket and a fine of $200 for each of the kids standing?

I should not have been arrested and lost my job of two years because of this incident. I also suggest to parents that, if their son or daughter comes home and tells them something the bus driver said that sounds wild and of which they're not sure, they call the bus company first and talk to the bus driver.
