Professional and Compassionate Service

My name is Terrance D. Lomme and I am a candidate for the position of judge of probate in the new 33rd District.

This district is comprised of the towns of Haddam, Chester, Clinton, Deep River, Essex, Killingworth, Lyme, Old Saybrook, and Westbrook. My wife Bette and I have lived in Middlesex County for 35 years. These towns are very familiar to me as I have practiced probate law in Middlesex County for 30 years and have appeared in all of the probate courts in the district. I have the necessary judicial experience as the former judge of probate in East Haddam. Having represented hundreds of families in probate matters I have developed the compassion necessary to be an effective judge.

Last year, I was honored by my peers who elected me president of the Middlesex County Bar Association, which term I have recently completed. Although I have an excellent relationship with my fellow attorneys, I have not accepted any contributions from attorneys or law firms as I do not want even the appearance of impropriety.

This position will be my priority and first concern. If elected, I will do everything possible to ensure that the new court operates smoothly and will make both myself and the court easily accessible to the public. This includes a user-friendly website on which the public will have access to general information, forms, and frequently asked questions. Being your readers' judge will be my full time job and the court will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Additionally, I will do informational seminars in all the towns in the district.

If elected, I will serve the new probate district in a professional and compassionate manner.
