Forgotten Felines' First Cycling Fundraiser

We would like to express our deepest gratitude to our shoreline community for their support of Forgotten Felines' first cycling fundraiser, Pedal for Paws, on Oct. 2. Approximately 200 riders-many from other areas of Connecticut as well as New York, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts-enjoyed the hospitality and scenic roadways that make our community so unique.

Special thanks to Chief Michael Spera of the Old Saybrook Police Department; the traffic officials and towns of Old Saybrook, Essex, Deep River, Chester, Westbrook, and Clinton; Sapia Group, LLC (Centerbrook); Patterson Plumbing Co. (Old Saybrook); Best Cleaners (Middletown); Clarke Cycles (Essex); Finkeldey (Westbrook); Fiore Pizzeria (Old Saybrook); Bishop's Orchards (Guilford); and the many other local businesses and individuals that generously donated to Pedal for Paws. Forgotten Felines' shelter volunteers went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure that riders were safe and well-fed and we are proud to be a part of such a selfless group of people.

As our economy continues to stagnate, more homeless cats and kittens arrive at Forgotten Felines each week. The funds raised from Pedal for Paws are vital in providing food, shelter, and veterinary care until they find their forever homes. Thank you once again to all who were so generous on their behalf.
