06/30/2022 12:00 AMThe Clinton Huskies 17-U AAU baseball team had several games on its schedule last week and came away from the slate with a couple of victories to put its record at 4-5 on the season. The Huskies got swept in a doubleheader, bounced back by sweeping a doubleheader, and then lost their final matchup of the week.
Clinton lost both ends of a doubleheader against Smash Factory at Indian River Complex on June 25. The Huskies took an 8-2 loss in the first game of the set and then lost by a 10-0 score in the second contest.
The following day, the Huskies hosted the Roadrunners for a doubleheader and won both games of the set to get the sweep. Clinton prevailed by a 9-1 score in the first matchup of the double dip at the Morgan School. The Huskies went on to post a 13-0 shutout in the nightcap to finish off the sweep.
Then on June 29, the Clinton Huskies took on New England Knights Church for a home game at Morgan. Clinton got edged out by the final score of 6-5 in the contest.
