Branford’s Legion Baseball Teams Begin 2022 Season

Senior Legion Baseball

The Branford Senior American Legion 19-U baseball team played a game against Madison and had a contest with Hamden during the first week of the 2022 season. Post 83 lost to Madison and then took a defeat versus Hamden to begin the year with a record of 0-2.

Branford dropped a 5-0 decision at Madison in its season opener on June 16. Then on June 18, Branford was on the road to face Hamden and lost the contest by an 11-0 score.

Junior Legion Baseball

The Branford Junior American Legion 17-U baseball squad took defeats in its first three games of the summer season. Post 83 has an early record of 0-3 on the year.

Branford began its campaign by hosting Stamford for a doubleheader on June 11. Branford lost both ends of the set by taking a 10-1 loss in the first game and an 11-0 loss in the second contest. The following day, Post 83 faced Stamford on the road and dropped a 6-0 decision in the final game of the series.
